Week 1 Discussion Forum (LO1) – 25 points

Discussion Question: Which of the steps in an engineering economy study, outlined
in Chapter 1, do you consider the most important, and which the most challenging?
Why?

Essential Activities: 

1. Reading Chapter 1, sections 1-10 in Blank & Tarquin will assist you in writing this
   discussion forum.
2. Reviewing Chapter 1 slides will assist you in writing this discussion forum.
3. Watching videos for Chapter 1, sections 1-10 will assist you in writing this discussion
   forum.

4. Please refer to the discussion forum instructions on the syllabus, and to the
   discussion forum rubric on the course information tab.
5. Initial discussion forum post is due by Wednesday at 11:59 PM EST and responses
   to two of your classmates are due by Sunday at 11:59 PM EST.
6. You must post on eat least 3 different days to earn full points.
7. Please make sure you respond to the discussion forum question listed above in your
   initial post.
8. Your initial post should include at least 200 words of substantive content, and each
   reply at least 100 words of substantive content to earn full points.
9. Please make sure to include outside sources to support your discussion, and avoid
   grammatical errors.
10. Lastly, please make sure there is enough unique content in each of your posts
    (following the minimum suggested word counts); for instance if your two replies
    include mostly the same content you will not earn full points.
