Decision Making Survey Assignment
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to get you thinking about how decision making is
different with consumers of varying backgrounds.
Preparation Instructions:
1. Compose your response to this activity in Microsoft Word.
2. The paper should be formatted and typed using Times New Roman, 12-point font,
double-spaced, and one-inch margins (no exceptions).
3. The length of the paper should be at least 2 to 4 pages (excluding cover page and
reference page).
4. Use APA 6th edition formatting and use a minimum of 2 references.
5. The paper should contain a cover page and reference page.
Content Instructions:
1. Use your Qualtrics account to create a brief survey to capture the data for this
assignment. You may have personal family or friends you can send the survey link to via
email, or you can solicit members from your social media account to participate in the
survey link.
2. Survey at least 3 consumers of varying demographic backgrounds about the information
sources that they tend to use when considering a new product. (Sample of General
demographic questions, or Google “sample demographic questions” to obtain a variety of
questions you wish to ask.)
3. In addition, address the following questions in your summary response.
a. Do you notice any trends?
b. Which groups tend to use online information sources and applications more (or
less)?
c. Why do you think this is?
4. Finally, outline what you learned from this activity.
