Module 1 – Case

TRAINING OVERVIEW; ADDIE MODEL;
ANALYSIS & DESIGN

Assignment Overview

In this assignment you will be utilizing the first two stages of the
ADDIE model—Analysis and Design.

There is an opportunity to select a topic that is meaningful to you. (It
will be the same topic to use for all four case assignments. Each
case focuses on applying a different phase of the ADDIE model—
Case 1: Analysis and Design, Case 2: Development, Case 3:
Implement, and Case 4: Evaluate.

Select a topic for your training plan from one of the following:

1. A current situation at your workplace. For example, how to fix a
specific problem in a vehicle or aircraft, or how to create Excel
spreadsheets with charts and graphs, or how to create effective
PowerPoint presentations, or

2. How to successfully plan and open a new business during a
pandemic in your state, or

3. How to teach the basics of sign language to first-line supervisors,
or

4. How to make a great home video, including tools needed.

You are the training course designer and will also be conducting
(hypothetically) this training throughout the year. The 12-15 learners
in each training session will have at least a H.S. diploma or
equivalent.

Case Assignment

For your Case 1, follow the Analysis and the Design phases as
described in the Gardner videos and other sources you find to
begin applying the ADDIE model. If there is unknown information,
make logical assumptions for information needed and note in your
paper the assumptions you made.
