As an 
advanced practice nurse, it is necessary to apply concepts, principles, and responses related to pathophysiologic processes that result in disease.  Interaction of genetics, immunity, and infectious processes can have systemic effects throughout all body systems. Examination of 
disease process analyses for genetics, immunity, and infectious disease systems provided the foundation for understanding wellness and disease. Connect what you are learning to a current or recent article that relates to one of the week’s topics. Search for a recent journal article or an article from a professional or public health source in one of the following areas:
