Part 1: MBTI inventory
The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI) is a
self-report inventoryLinks to an external site. designed to identify a person’s personality type, strengths, and preferences. The MBTI inventory is one of the world’s most widely-used psychological instruments.
You are required to complete the MBTI inventory in this module, as it contributes to your self-awareness of who you are as an individual and an aspiring educational leader. After completing the MBTI inventory, you will receive a personality score, denoted by an abbreviation (e.g. “ENTJ”) in which each letter stands for an aspect of your personality (i.e.
Extroverted, i
Ntuitive,
Thinking,
Judging). As a future leader, your awareness of personality differences can contribute to you developing and leading successful teams. By recognizing individual differences, the group can better assign tasks and work together on achieving the organization’s goals.
